Tarot Cards

Tarot is an interactive divination system that uses a set of psychological archetypes - represented by a deck of 78 cards - to stimulate intuition and evoke new insights. It can be thought of as a two-way form of prayer, where Divine Intelligence answers you with symbols.

We use the tarot cards as a means to interpret the information we receive when tuning into your energy field. We work with a combination of our intuition, clairvoyance and clairsentience to receive possible answers to your questions.

Clairvoyance

A clairvoyant person can, when connected to you, as in tuning in to your vibrational energy, be able to see/sense images, colours, people, animals, buildings or some object that would have a relevant meaning to you. Most clairvoyant/psychics work on a higher level of vibrational energy often referred to as extra sensory perception.

Clairaudience

A clairvoyant tuning into clairaudience will actually hear spoken messages that are often channelled though their spirit guides.

Clairsentience

A clairvoyant tuning into clairsentience will have the ability “feel” your emotions. A form of empathy wherein the clairvoyant can sense emotional upset and traumatic events that have taken place around the client.

The Major Arcana

We will use Kris Waldherr’s description of her “Goddess Tarot Cards” to explain how the Tarot Cards work.

Like a traditional tarot deck, The Godess Tarot contains 78 cards divided into 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards. Each Major Arcana card is related to a goddess and her story, and symbolizes an important aspect of life’s journey. When these cards are chosen in a tarot reading, they can represent recurrent themes or major changes in the situation being examined.

Some consider the Major Arcana to hold all the world’s wisdom distilled into 22 potent images as concentrated in symbolism as any dream. But, like the symbolism of a dream, the meanings ascribed to these cards should be made pertinent to your life experiences. Look upon these descriptions as a guide to spark your imagination and feelings.

Also included are descriptions for reversed or upside-down cards. Again, these can used according to your judgment: Kris Waldherr thinks of the cards as being strong or weak by taking into consideration the question being asked, their relative position in a spread, and the cards surrounding it.

The Minor Arcana

The Minor Arcana of The Goddess Tarot is divided into four suits. Each suit is related to one of the four elements – earth, air, water, fire – as well as to a particular goddess. The suit of cups is associated with Venus, the roman goddess of love; staves, Freyja, the Norse goddess of creativity and beauty; swords, Isis, the great Egyptian goddess who symbolizes magic, loss and redemption; and pentacles, Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity.

Each card in each Minor Arcana suit (except for the court cards) depicts a woman as she undergoes the journey symbolized by each suit. She is meant to represent “everywoman” – or the querant herself – as an aspect of the goddess honored in the suit. Court cards (princess, prince, king and queen) can symbolize different aspects or energies of the querant’s psyche in different times and areas of life – masculine, young, mature, feminine. They can also signify people in the querant’s life.

When Minor Arcana cards appear in a reading, think of them as filling in the particulars of a situation – the people involved, the emotions, the details, the everyday unfolding – as opposed to the sweeping life changes often reflected by the Major Arcana Cards. In the Minor Arcana, sacred issues explored in the Major Arcana are made human.

Reversed, or upside-down, card meanings are also included here. These meanings can be used according to the appropriateness of the issue being examined in the reading.
